Zelenskyy to Sign U.S. Minerals Deal, Urges Stronger U.S. Support for Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he is prepared to sign a long-delayed minerals deal with the United States. His statement comes amid rising tensions following a reported Oval Office clash over U.S. support for Ukraine in its ongoing war with Russia.

Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of securing critical minerals for both nations, highlighting Ukraine’s vast mineral resources as essential for global energy security and technology industries. He also urged the U.S. to stand more firmly with Ukraine, reinforcing calls for continued military and economic assistance.

The minerals deal, once signed, could strengthen U.S.-Ukraine ties while countering Russia’s geopolitical influence in the resource market. As the war continues, the agreement is expected to play a key role in Ukraine’s economic resilience and Western supply chains.
