Congolese guitarist Papa Noel Nedule, renowned for his iconic compositions, will be laid to rest on Monday in Kinshasa. Paris-based Congolese singer Balou Canta revealed that Papa Noel’s French widow has been instrumental in supporting the funeral arrangements.
Born Antoine Nedule Monswet, Papa Noel is fondly remembered for his timeless hit “Tangawisi” and numerous other songs that have left an indelible mark on the music world. Over the years, he became an influential figure in the Congolese music scene, with his blend of traditional rhythms and innovative guitar work captivating audiences worldwide. His contributions to the genres of soukous and rumba solidified his place in the hearts of many music lovers.
