American rapper and style trendsetter A$AP Rocky has been named Fashion Icon of the Year at the 2025 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards, held on November 3 in New York City.
Accepting the award, the 37-year-old artist delivered an emotional tribute to his partner and global superstar Rihanna, crediting her as his greatest source of inspiration.
“Baby girl, I love you, boo,” Rocky said, addressing Rihanna as the audience cheered. “You won this so long ago, remember what I told you? You inspire me — I said I’d win that award one day. We did it, baby!”
Rihanna, who received the same Fashion Icon Award in 2014, has long been recognized for her boundary-pushing style and influence on global fashion.
The couple’s glamorous appearance at the American Museum of Natural History turned heads across the industry.
